Guys just out of the safe for the first time in a long time. It is unfired and NIB. I think its an early one by the serial number. I have all the trimmings, outer carton, display with perfect interior (go figure) and blue box, tools etcc. I think it's pretty cool all around and even better with the Culina's on. Thought I would post her up.

Nice gun, Souvergn41. I just love Culina stocks myself, not only because they look good, but they also feel so darn good when shooting. My brother has a 6" no dash 629 and has a set of Culina presentations in ebony on it. I wish I had a pic of it to share as the gun looks fantastic with the black grips.

Awesome!

Great looking 629 NO Dash, 4 inch. I have one too. Serial Number starting with 837xxx. I just have the gun. No boxes or docs. Great Gem to have.

Thanks for the Pics.

Pat

The serial number on mine indicates first month of production for the 4-inch version. It was only purchased because it was a good buy at the time, but it has grown on me since. If memory serves I paid a bit over $700 ten or twelve years ago. It gets shot. Pictured below with faux ivory polymers (just for fun) and with it's little brother, a 66-1.

My serial number starts with N855. Target trigger and hammer, so I suspect it came with Target Stocks as well. I just happen to hate that design, as my fingers get shorter, those stocks get wider. No thanks. But your grips I would sure like to try, they look great!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have to search my records for the wood species. Age has me challenged at the moment but they are comfortable to me at least. Very comfortable.

I too have a 4" no dash, it has a set of Curt Harlow "Cokes" the most comfortable grips they fit my hand perfectly. I've actually owned two 4" no dash 629's, foolishly let the first one get away. Current one has been Magna-ported, it's a joy to shoot it goes to the range with me every trip.

Manufacturing Date

According to my Jinks Letter, my 629 NO Dash, 4 inch was manufactured in January 1981. Serial number 837xxx.

Harlow grips 629 ND

This is my 6" 629 ND with Curt Harlow cokes along with my 45ACP Model of 1955 Target. These fit my hands great!

My 4" 629-0 is NOT a safe queen and is one of my primary outdoor "working guns". It's fitted with non-fingergroove Pachmayr Presentations and front/rear night sights.
