629 No dashes… original stainless finish??

All the 629 I have did not have pristine original finish when I got them, although they are great shape.
Do you think it will be worth getting a bead blast to restore them to the original finish?
Has anyone here done that before on a stainless?
What I have now are 629 that have been polished although not down to a mirror finish.
I've heard that the scotch bright purple will get it close, but that is not the same.

What does the consensus say about this here on the forum?
I guess the same could be said about my 66s.

I believe it would be easier to sell the polished 629s and find some with an original finish.

I have spruced up stainless finishes (scratches) with 280 grit emery boards. It sounds harsh, but it leaves a finish that you cannot tell if original or not. I have not done an entire gun though.
