I like the S&W 629 pinned/recessed revolvers and have one of every barrel length made..however I came across one with a 2.5" barrel that is one of 250 that were "made" by Tamiami and has their logo on the LH side of the revolver. Round butt. Looks very well done, but just looking at pictures, not in person.
I believe this is similar to the Jovino revolvers as they were not created at S&W and modified by Jovino from my understanding. There does not seem to be much info out there on the Tamiami variant revolver builds only that Tamiami was a gun club/shop in Florida in the 1980s and was doing custom revolvers.

It's an interesting piece, but I'm not so sure it's worth double the going rate of a nice stock 629 P&R. Any info on these variants etc would be helpful. :)

That gun is grossly overpriced at $2499. If you message seller he will tell you a buyer in Dallas is looking at it. Tamiami Sportsman Club is long gone. They had some custom guns made for members. I've seen them in 2 1:2" and 6". I assume there are 4" models out there. The gun is not a special edition from the factory. Nor is it a Lew Horton or Lipsey special run. Just a heavily customized gun. It keeps relisting with no interest. I contacted him over a month ago because I have property just off Tamiami Trail. My interest was logistical. I decided not to make him an offer because it was clear we had different ideas on value.
