629 value

I stopped by a pawn shop yesterday and saw a 629 -.44 Magnum Classic. I think it was 6 inch. It had a matt finish. It was different in that it had some sort of magna port just in front of the front the sight. One slot cut across the top of the barrel. I've never seen one before like that before and wondered if it was ported at S&W and what kinda of value it might have. It hasn't followed me home yet but it might...

One more question...I'm really a fan of blued S&W's. Are the values the same between blue and SS or is there a marked difference in value?
