Hit the 700 round mark. 500 H&R mag, and 200 Fiochi 32 S&W long ( 97 grain fmj )
Flawless. The 32 long was really fun and easy to shoot. The only downside to the whole thing is the about $600 it cost me for the ammo.
The 80 grain Hornady FTX is my carry round.
i Know some have had issues but if you see one get it. Great package

I assume this is a 632UC. How did the grip work out for you?

632 UC

Yes, sorry should have been clear on that. This is the 632UC.
The VZ grips that came with it were nice, but a little big for the way I carry this revolver which is in my pocket.
I replaced them with an old set of uncle mikes boot grips which in my opinion are still the best j frame grip out there.

You're buying waaay too much factory ammo. Even at today's artificially high component prices, you could have done all that shooting for less than half the cost. To misquote Horace Greeley, "Reload young man, reload!" Sounds like you've got a fun gun there.

The current issue with .32 H&R brass is that it's pretty much sold out everywhere and Starline is working through the backlog of other calibers before they get to .32 H&R again.

I'm pretty sure that I bought out the last of the Starline .32 H&R brass that Brownell's had several months back as an early father's day gift for my father. IIRC, he's got a backorder from Starline for more.

Congratulations on the round count. I'm glad to hear that you got a good one. Hopefully, S&W is reading these threads and is doing some QA/QC on its revolver line which should result in many more acceptable ones reaching the consumer.

I also switched out the grips. After my original gun was replaced, the only disappointment I had with the UC model was the grips. They caused it to point differently than what I expect from a J-frame and they were a little too big for pocket carry. I hear that some love them, so it is highly personal.

IMHO the .32 magnum and the J-frame are a perfect match and make for a formidable carry combination. I'm impressed that you shot so many magnums (they are hard to come by). It's less expensive and almost as much fun to shoot the .32 Longs, especially if you don't reload for it.

Continued good luck and enjoyment with it.

All that factory stuff cometpx4 has shot up should have given him a lifetime supply of good reloadable brass! I've been know to buy a box or two of factory ammo to get started collecting up brass. I hope cometpx4 didn't let all that spun gold get away from him! Another advantage of wheel guns is that your brass seldom if ever hits the ground or gets lost! :D

My son's 632 UC had to go back to the factory twice for light strikes and shooting left. They finally sent him a new gun and it's perfect. My 432 UC has been flawless.

I am a little embarrassed to say that I did not save the brass. I guess I will in the future and maybe sell it just to defray costs a little. I hear you all on the reload issue, unfortunately I don't have the time

I like the .32 caliber guns. My favorite is a .327 Fed Mag, as it shoots all the other .32 rounds; it even will shoot maybe 4 outta 7 32ACPs without those clip things. I have a boatload of Federal Mag boxes down stairs; I just need to shoot some. Have fun with that 632!

This is the next 32 Mag S&W should bring out!

A 16-4 rechambered to 327 Fed Mag! I wish it had an 8 3/8" barrel, just to see how it would do at 100yds or maybe 200yds!

I'm with you, jcelect. If the bean counters @ S&W would look at the popular market, they would commission a run of blue (and/or stainless) Model 16-5 (and Model 616) revolvers with the classic pre-lock frames and choice of 4, 6, and 8 3/8" barrels. The under lug barrels are an option I could do without, and I think they would sell better "old school" without the lugs, but that's not a hill to die on... putting that abominable internal lock would be a deal breaker for me though.

One thing to too keep in mind is that you and I are not the primary customers of S&W. Distributors are, followed by large chains (Cabela's/Bass Pro, Academy, etc), then medium to large LE agencies, then everyone else is at the bottom of the list.

The Lipsey's UC revolvers came about because Lipsey's was willing to order 1,000 of each pattern. My understanding is that it doesn't take quite that many guaranteed orders to create/bring back a product, but it sure doesn't hurt.

If we could get a distributor or group of them (like TALO) to step up and order a few hundred, S&W would probably be quite willing to make a Model 16/616.

I took my 632 UC to the range and I swear it has over a 10 pound trigger pull!!! Is there anything I can do?

If it's brand new, a DA pull just over 10 lbs is normal. A lot of the basic J-frames have 12 lb trigger pulls out of the box.

Squirt some oil in (some of them shipped pretty dry), dry fire a lot, clean, then re-lubricate.

700 pieces for sale on the forum should net you over $50. Even if you decide not to reload for whatever reason, brass has value.

Me to, I find the grips on my 632UC to be to fat for my hands and changed my point of aim compared to standard boot grips. However, I can see how these VZ grips would be good for guys with larger hands.

I have around 500 rounds through mine, mostly all hand loaded ammo and mine is defiantly one of the lefty guns.

Check Midway for H&R brass. They had it when Starline said out of stock. But that was last year, YMMV.

I purchased the 432UC yesterday. Ordered some ammo from Aimsurplus. I have a one day revolver class scheduled in March and am going to use this. I really like the look and feel. To answer Peyton's question, oil it ,shoot it and if that doesn't work get some Wolff springs.

I've been reloading 32 and 32 Mag for quite a few years now. Used in a 16-4 and a 432PD. Also quite a few older J and I frame .32's.

Very accurate and very pleasant to shoot.

Once you set up your reloading press & dies, you can put out a 100 rounds in less than an hour after dinner in the evening using a single stage press. Look around, there are nearly always used equipment in garage sales or estate sales, usually cheap.
