Can anyone give me an opinion on what the differences are between the two quality wise? Really what ever you can tell me will be helpful.

I'm looking to make a trade for one of these two guns and I'm mostly concerned about the overall feel, internals, trigger feel and accuracy. I'm not concerned about the cal. difference unless it affects the life span.

Both of the parties put a value of $400 on their gun. Both look like new in the pictures and have less than 50 rounds thru them. Does that seem like a reasonable price?

Thanks

Don't know about the 411 (3rd Gen?), but the 639 is the best pistol I've ever owned for accuracy. Functions flawlessly with any ammo.

The 411 was a 3rd generation value series pistol. I had a 915 - the same pistol in 9mm - and found the quality to be the same as my other 3rd generation pistols, just fewer frills. (Basic finish, sights etc.) The 639, a 2nd generation pistol, is one of my favorites - one of the best feeling in the hand and very accurate. I would pay $400 for a like new 639. I would pay less for the 411.

I can't speak to the 639 but I do have a 411. The 411 is the value model of the 4006. I have both. The differences being steel slide and alloy frame on the 411 as apposed to all stainless on the 4006. Ambi safety on 4006 and RH only for the 411. Sights on the 411 are plain notch rear with white dot front. My 4006 has Novak sights but 4006s have many different sight types. As far as shooting is concerned, they both are fine pistols. Accurate and reliable. Both use the same mags. I like the 411 for carry since it is lighter than the 4006. I like the 4006 for range work as the weight takes a bit of snap out of the recoil.
