Did the factory ever make a model 64 round butt with a 4" pencil barrel?

Rumored to exist, but I've never seen an original, documented example in the flesh or photos.

I really like the Round Butt 64 with the tapered barrel. It is one of my favorites.

Round butting my M64 pencil is on my "to do" list. It's a beat up old shooter, but still shoots great.

Some time ago, I picked up a model 64 pencil barrel, with the intention of finding a model 64 at a decent price to swap barrels with. I found a decent priced 64-6 a little while ago. Last Monday, I dropped off the gun and pencil barrel at the gunsmith to make the swap. I picked up the gun today, my round butted 64 with a 4 inch pencil barrel. Maybe some day I'll figure out how to post pictures. To me this is the pefect 38 revolver.
