Saw a 640sc air weight today. Had titanium cylinder. 357 mag. Any info and value would be appreciated. No box, finish on frame is poor at best.
Thanks
Mike

There is no 640 Sc, do you mean a 340 Sc (concealed hammer, black frame, grey cylinder)?

Wow, I swear it was a 640sc gray frame darker cylinder 3" bbl 357 mag.

It is some variant of the 340SC. But from your description it sounds like a 386SC Mountain Lite...Is this it? This is a 386SC Mountain Lite...

That's it!! But swear it's a 640. Told the dealer I'll take it. Will post pics when I get it.

It is not a 640. It is without any question a 386SC Mountain Lite. Only off by 254 :) Anyway, how much did you pay for it? They go for $750 to $900+ these days.

They also made it in 44 Special, the 396SC Mountain Lite.

Any S&W 640 model will be an all steel gun with a steel cylinder, and all stainless.

Ok guys, my mind is failing! Turns out it is a 360sc. Looked it up this is the target kit gun.hi viz adj sights, 3 1/8" bbl. Got it today just the gun no box. Will post pics later tonight.
Thanks

Nice, good gun I think you'll like it. Just be aware of the ammo warning and don't shoot hot loads with light bullets or you can erode the front of the cylinder.
