642 disassembly

i have several j frames, older model 36, 60, 642-1...the question I have is about the 642.

When I disassemble the 60 and 36, I can unscrew the ejector rod and crane from the cylinder... for some reason I cannot do this with the 642.

Is it designed to disassemble like the older steel j frames? Am i just not turning the rod hard enough?

Yes, the disassembly is the same as the other J frames.
