I took my new 642 out to the range today and had a great time. I am very pleased with how it shoots. I could actually hit the target (NRA 25 Yard Slow Fire) pretty consistently at 25 yards. Put about 100 rounds thru it. Compared to my 10-5 with a 4 inch pencil barrel the recoil was quite a bit more. Needless to say I could feel it in my hands.

I can't wait to take a two day snubby course at Sand Burr Gun Ranch. It's only 750 rounds in two days.

Enjoy your course at Sand Burr Gun Ranch! Denny Reichard, the lead instructor, is a past master of the S&W revolver, and his whole training team knows their wheelguns. While you're there, talk to Reichard about having him do one of his famous slickups on your 642.

Let us know how it goes for you.

Thanks Mas,

I really enjoyed the MAG40 at Sand Burr in June and chose the 642 after talking to you. It now resides in my pocket along with my M&P 9c.

Thanks,

Brad
