A few of us all brought our 2" model 60's to shoot today. I have not shot mine in at least 6 years as that has been how long I retired it as my EDC / CCW. My EDC for the past 6 years has been my Sig P365. My shooting buddy's all said they hadn't carried theirs in a decade as well and that was why one of them suggested we all bring them down to shoot in a friendly competition and that is what we did. I warmed up at 7 yards (snubby SD distance) shooting single action and I actually amazed myself at just how well I shot it. After shooting 30 rounds S/A I transitioned to DA at 5 yards. I pulled the trigger as fast as I thought I could hit - pretty fast and did pretty well.
I was shooting 158 grain RNL bullets at our indoor club and was actually very surprised I shot it this well after not touching it for 6 years! My other friends shot theirs very well too and we all had a great day doing so. After 100 rounds I put it back in my range bag and grabbed my 1911 Colt Gold Cup NM for some target work down range. I had lots of fun shooting my old EDC but could never see myself going back to it for EDC / CCW.
The (legal) Ivory is a bit dirty from shooting the revolver - I had not cleaned it yet.
BTW, my Chief's Special is a 60-7 version.
