When I usually go to the range I love to shoot as accurately as possible and that is usually the focus of my shooting. I have been guilty of not practicing with my EDC CCW gun for over 2 months now and today was the day to do that. It was absolutely a gorgeous day here and so we had breakfast and I grabbed 300 rounds of 124 grain 9mm.

The first few strings I could not help myself and used my Sig P365 as a 50 foot "bullseye target gun", then I caught myself and refocused. The rest of the day I spent shooting combat drills at 7 yards. Here are two of the better groupings I shot today. One was 30 rounds and the other 50 rounds. These were shot pretty much as fast as I thought I could hit with and the P365 has now racked up over 8,000 rounds with no issues. As Sig suggests, I did replace the springs about a year ago - just normal maintenance though. I was happy about how I shot and the day was spectacular!

Wait a second! A fellow with the moniker, chief38 Carrie’s some kind of a self loader instead of a Chief’s Special???

Get a rope!

Kevin

LOL! :D I used to be a hard line revolver man for SD/EDC/CCW! I originally carried a Chief's Special for over 4 decades - hence the "Forum Handle". 7 years ago I saw the light, inspected and ran 100 rounds through a friend's P365 (instantly fell in love with it) and that was that! My beloved Chief's Special is now basically just part of my collection with the other J Frames I own and while it does get shot once in a while it no longer serves as my EDC.

Yesterday I practiced and shot 300 rounds out of my Sig P365 which is sort of a difficult chore and not fun to do with a M60. With the P365 I could shoot it all day long. OK - "get the rope"........ I'll shoot it in half with the Sig. HA HA HA! :D :D

Excellent shooting! Easily minute-of-miscreant accuracy.

I'm up to 52 years of J frame carry love. Mostly Airweights and they seem attached, like they grew there. But of late I too have been practicing with my 365 and actually enjoying the bottom feeder. No doubt about it the thing shoots.

As a geezer I wonder if I would lose my boomer status carrying such a newfangled weapon?

Nice shooting. You should see some of the woeful targets that appear at NV CCW classes. My only excuse last year was that I had not been carrying this gun or practicing with it since 2019. I did not even manage a range trip just before the class, consequently I only managed 296/300. Pulled some early ones low before getting my grip sorted.

Below is 10 rounds each at 3, 5, and 7 yards, no time limit, using a Walther PPS M2. Guy in the next seat in the class managed a large shotgun pattern (several 7s) with a rented Glock 19. On seeing my target he asked, "What the ___ do you do for a living?" My deadpan reply, "I'm retired, and really need to practice more often."
