642 ILS (?)

I know this subject is probably worn out on the Forum, but I have not found a definitive answer to my basic question: Has there ever been a documented case of an ILS lockup failure on a 642? Not urban legends or hearsay. I have seen the YouTube rants about the 686 and other "expert opinions" on the subject in general, but I can't find anything on the 642 specifically. I don't want to take a chance if that type of failure is a possibility, but I also don't especially relish the thought of taking the gun apart to disable the lock (for several obvious reasons).
