642 no dash date

Have the opportunity to trade into an early model 642 no dash (non P marked) specimen.

Serial number BKB19xx - may I ask for assistance on determining approximate date?

Granted these are not "rare" and new ones can be bought <375, Early models with the anodized finish are getting harder to find. Any suggestions on value in good to very good condition? No box/docs.

SCSW #3 says the gun was introduced in 1990 and discontinued in 1993. That is as close as I can get it, as the letter prefix serial numbers confuse me. ANIB-$375.00, EXC-$325.00, VG-$300.00, GOOD-$225.00, FAIR-$175.00.

The OP asked about a model 642? I think the CEN prefix model 640s were produced out of alphabetical order also.
