645 Question w/ pics

Here are some pictures of my new 645. I just picked it up from the gun shop. The story goes a policeman had to spend his uniform allowance or lose it. He bought the 645 and put it in the closet for 20+ years. I don't know what he traded it on but now it's mine. Does anyone know what year it was made?

625smith- you have a great gun, the book says 1987,from that serial number. I passed up a nice one a few months back, still kicking myself. Enjoy it1 Mike

I purchased a new old slock unfired Model 645 without box or paers and 5 magazines last year. The slide stop did not function properly but the seler quickly remedied that problem. Since then it has functioned perfectly with everything from mild reloads with 185 gr. LSWC at ca 710 fps to 230gr. FMJ ball ammo. A great gun!
