I have a friend with a 645 and he's interested in selling it. No box, 2 mags. He isn't a real gun nut, bought it a while back 'cause it was a cool Miami Vice pistol. He asked me what he price he should put on it and I told him I'd ask here.

Any comments or suggestions?

You're going to have to address the condition which has a significant impact on the value. From the information you have provided- $400 to $600 around here.

Bought mine last fall. Dealer at a gunshow had it marked $550. He took $400 cash OTD.

Thanks. I think he paid $525 for it a couple years ago. It's in nice condition, no scratches. I've been to the range with him and there were no issues firing it. I might buy it myself, said there could be a buddy discount.

Bought one last year from a guy. Mint, 3 mags, no box. He wanted $500, but I told him my top offer was $400, & to call me back if he didn't sell it. Sure enough, 2 weeks later he called me back saying $400 was the highest offer he got. I took it, but can't decide if it's my favorite, or if my HK USP 45 is. GARY

650 for a NIB straight from 1986, with the original grease in it, the *** shoots lol like old Elmer was right, the perfect replacement for the M1911 IS a model 39 in .45 acp, IE the 645 lol

I wish I could find a nice one locally for less than $600. Even shooter grade 645's bring high 500s locally...........when they appear that is. Regards 18DAI

and I should mention I had all of these ideas about what to do with the thing, maybe change the finish, front sight and all that to match the bren ten and with how well it shot to point of aim at 25 yards, I didnt do a damn thing to it, as I was like A this things fine as is, and what are the chances of finding a new old stock like this out of nowhere? not very high.

outside of one thing, taking a modeling sanding stick, a fine one, to a rough edge on the trigger, as it seems like all of the stainless steel guns I come across have some sort of rough edge on the molding to them.

even when their brand new and made this year, never happens with blued guns thought. weirdest damn thing.

I may do the brushed finish on the frame to a 4506 though, like on the 645's frame and slide, to match the bren ten, as it was hard chrome over a brushed finish like that, but that is how good the 645 is... I'm thinking of continuing the line.

I paid 550 last year for a nice clean M645 with 2 mags. No box or papers at a LGS which tends to be a bit higher. I have a soft spot for 645s & it's now keeping company with my Duty 645 in the safe.

I paid $442.03 for mine in January, 1986. Considering what a great pistol it is and how inflation has devalued our dollars, they haven't appreciated like one would think they should have.
