Just received the Tyler T Grip last week and wanted to share some pics. Now this grip is SWEET!

I've used Tyler T-Grip adapters since the sixties and have found them to be a great product -- They look good and improve the feel of most revolvers for a small investment

Looks good on the65. I am sure it will enable the shooter to hold that little cannon down with magnums in it.

I commend your tastes.... in guns, grips and cash! Nice pics & thanks for the post. Did you refinish the grips? They look a little darker than normal ...very rich brown color ... walnut?.

You might consider the 8 round speed strip. Leave one or two empty and the tab is easier to handle.

Grips were refinished indeed. First I stripped all the original varnish finish. Then a good polish job and hand rubbed with boiled linseed oil as the new finish. Did a pair of target grips in the same fashion as well:

From whom did you obtain your T-Grip?

I got the T grip directly from Tyler Manufacturing. It took exactly 3 months for delivery... but it worthed the wait.

I have seen several models in eBay and GunBroker ready for delivery as well.

Model 65's

I recently had a stroke of luck and came into possession of two model 65's; a 3" 65-3 and a 3" 65-5. Both were L/E guns and as such, have been carried a lot and shot a little. Both are mechanically excellent, lock-up is good with no end-shake. I hope to bead blast them to get rid of scratches and such in the next few weeks.

TacDoc, very nice set-up! I have it's first cousin 65-5 that's waiting for Uncle Mike's Combat grips from S&W for range work. But now I just have to order a T-grip and try it for CCW!

I have the same gun, and IMHO the S & W M65 is the finest .357 magnum carry gun the Company has ever produced, bar none! I like it better than the more "beautiful looking" M66 (2 1/2") because I for one do not believe that there is a need for adjustable sights (actually a hindrance) or excess weight of the barrel lug on a carry gun. I also believe that the 3" barrel beats the ballistics of a 2 1/2" any day, especially on a .357 Magnum. The J-frame .357 magnums are just too light to shoot full power magnums, and most people usually go back to stoking them with +P 38 Spl. so I don't really understand the usefulness of the J-frame as a .357. Your M65 is a smooth, no frills, easily concealed, and utterly reliable fighting gun. I hope you take it and shoot it rather than making it a "safe queen". Enjoy it....... you've got the best!
