I've got a chance to pick up a lnib Model 657 "Light Hunter". I think only 500 were made for RSR back in the mid-90's. I'm just curious what price these might be bringing right now. Thanks!
I am guessing that you are referring to the 41 Magnum Hunter

As you mentioned it was an RSR Distributor Exclusive.

There were 500 pieces ordered. They were manufactured between 1995 - 2000 in several small runs. There are at least 3 different serial number prefixes with RSRxxxx being the 1995 run. These had a 6 1/2" Mag-na-Ported, slab sided barrel with the integral Weaver base. The front sight is a fluorescent orange Millet ramp

I changed the Factory supplied grips out for some Hogue Goncalo Alves grips with the white line spacer and contrasting butt cap

In the condition you describe this revolver could easily bring $2,000 or more

6" barrel? Box and all docs? I would think $1500 range, if it's the 3", prolly $2500.
This revolver was never put into production in a 3" design.

You may be thinking of the 2 5/8" Model 657 UDR

I changed the Factory supplied grips on mine for some of the late release Factory combats

Just to comment on “Light Hunter” price.

One of our Local Gun Shops just had the
long barrel non-RSR 44Rem Mag version
go for just under $1300. That’s without
tax and other fees.

The Best to you and your Endeavors.
