I have a chance to buy a 66-1 revolver. I was told by the seller that the original stocks came with finger grooves in it square butt. I have a picture of what they look like I would appreciate all input if possible if these are original stocks or an add-on

Those are not factory. Beautiful gun! If the price is right, grab it!

Trading it for a $700 semi auto Sig. It comes with another set of stocks and I think those are original. I'll try and post a pit in the original thread

Congratulations on your find. Looks like a very nice example.

And for what it's worth, those stocks/grips look like the ones available online that are made in Thailand. Usually good quality for the money ($50-$$65), just not original S&W stocks.
