I am looking for a stainless sideplate for my 357 66-1.Will any stainless K frame side plate fit? I’ve heard it might be difficult to find an exact matching one beyond what’s fitted in the revolver now. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks..

You might get lucky and find one that fits perfectly, but the odds are that a replacement side plate will require some fitting. Given that it is stainless and far less prone to pitting than carbon steel, why are you trying to replace the side plate?

Not that it probably matters, but side plates are stamped on the back side with an assembly number that matches the the ones stamped on the yoke and frame handle. This was done to keep the parts that were individually fitted to the frame together.
