Was going back and forth on this one. Love my snubbies and shop had this one on consignment. Had $750 on it ended up getting for $695. After researching and chatting with peeps I see the 2 1/2" and dash 1 are the more desirable versions? I like it
Most sold ones I've seen on GB went for more.
Only down side was no box Wish I could find a box at a decent price. Plenty of plastic S&W cases out there but boxes are always pricey.

Nice acquisition

For me the 2.5” 66-1/19-4 are the best of those models.

Amazing 66-1 P&R. I too feel in love with a 66-1, but the barrel is not pinned but the cylinder is recessed. I sent it S&W for a re-finish and correct the timing issue. I really love it even with out the pinned barrel. Congratulations!!!

And I did not know as mentioned above that the -1 had S&W logo on the right and the rest switched to the left.

I thought all the 66-1s were pinned too when I bought it. I was disappointed when it wasn't. I should have looked more closely to the pictures but I had just read a magazine article by Payton Miller about this model and took for granted his comment on P&R. My serial number is 99K09XX so it may be near the end of the model designation and deletion of all pinned barrels.

The -2 engineering change for the Model 66 (-5 for M19) did not eliminate the barrel pin or move the trademark. It only eliminated the recessed cylinder.
The barrel pin and trademark move happened very close to the same time but were not part of the -2 change.

For the 2.5" M66, the trademark appears to have been moved to the left side at 94K but still had the pinned barrel. The barrel pin disappeared after the trademark move at 98K.
