66-2 2.5"

Thanks for so many responses to my question. I've really enjoyed reading them and it makes me very satisfied that I've joined this forum, everyone here really seems to know their stuff. Yeah I guess I do have a tendency to be over critical at times when I should really be content, guess that's why I've gone through so many guns. From what I've gathered here I guess I am lucky with the price I've paid. Now that I've had a chance to really molest this M66 I am very happy with it. I don't know what I was thinking about wanting to convert it. So very glad I had a chance to go on here and learn a little something.
The crazy thing is, is that I've never really given revolvers a second thought. I've always had semi-autos; 1911's of various makes and models a couple of sigs etc. But when I saw my Brother-In-law's revolver WHAM it hit me. Looking at it and holding it just felt good and it just seemed to have a sense of craftsmanship I dunno. But what ever happened I must admit I've been bitten by the revolver bug. I look forward to learning more on the forum and again I appreciate all who have taken time to give me their thoughts.

usfcc ceo, congratulations. I had a 66-1 2 1/2 inch a few years ago but it and a 640-1 got sold off during a financial drought. I have since acquired more snubbies and have always thought about that gun. I just traded for a 686-4 2 1/2 inch and love it but will one day own a 66 again. I also found a 19-3 2 1/2 inch which is the blue sister to your gun. As a matter of fact if your conscience gets to bother you for what you did to your family member and you need penance I will absolve you of any guilt and take that 66 and your guilt off your hands. I am just that kind of guy. That 66 will be the first in a long line of S&W short barreled revolvers at your house. Welcome to the club.
