3" guns and specifically 3" K frames are probably my favorite platform for shooting and carry.

Nice holster. I have one for my 39-2 and used it for off-duty use.
Looks like the Perfect Revolver.

Not for less than a grand around here. Notice the longer ejector rod...that is the big advantage over the shorter snubbys. Great revolver. I wish I had one!!!!

Got this one directly from Ashland, way back when:
After this target, in order to save hard-to-find SilverTip ammo, I gave the rear sight two clicks elevation and didn't bother firing a confirmation group.
My widow will probably need to deal with this revolver after my time is up.

Most I have seen have been in the $1500-$2k range. This one was not well described and I snagged it for just under a grand. But with shipping it came out to $1034.

The 3" 66 is one I have long admired, but alas, never owned. Those are the ultimate factory K-frames to me. OK, I'm officially envious
I have had two three inch Model 66's. I bought them in the same week and paid $600 for each of them.
The first was a Model 66-5 Lew Horton. It was one of 300. I never warmed up to it and let it go to a friend for $1350 (he priced it).

The second was an Ashland 66-2. This is one that I will not let go. I've never fired it, but it is still a favorite.
Model 66-2 (It is wearing the grips in this photo that the 66-5 came with from the factory with. I have replaced them with a beautifully grained set of diamond magnas. Sorry don't have a photo)

Know what you mean, as I've carried a 65,3" for over 34 years. Besides self defense purposes, it's been with me hiking, dispatching dozens of rattlers, packing in for elk and deer, shot a hog, camping and more. Carried in so much the rubber grips are worn smooth !

I bought a couple of 3" 66s from RSR in the late 80's for around $300 each. My brother and I carried them in undercover assignments and then needed money to buy 9mms so we sold them for about the same. Picked this -3 up a couple years ago. Needless to say I paid a little more than the price tage that was buried in the box.
Its a BK adapter. I think I bought it from the classified forum here????
