Too high. If you want to resell it , you'll need to find someone willing to pay at least what you paid plus your profit. Who is that going to be?
Check Gunbroker closed auctions. 2 sold in the last month for 1700 plus. In my neck of the woods that is a double your money investment. One sold on the forum 2 weeks ago for 1500. If it is a 3 inch gun. You can NOT go wrong. If it is a 2.5 inch gun you are overpaying. But you stated 3 inch. So it is a no brainer BUY in my eyes.
serious question ...not to be taken as an insult... do you use gun value books for pricing??? Book prices are way behind, especially when it comes to Smiths.CONFIRMED. High by 200 or more.
add to that, there are only a few hundred 3" -4s, some magna-ported, some not.
thanks for the info...how many 3" non-ported 66-4s were made??There was more than that. You had the run of the 66-4 f-comps, then you had 3 runs of the non ported 66-4, and then the run of the magna-ported 66-4's and the run of the Super K's.
