66-5, worth it?

I picked up a lightly used 66-5 (CDT10XX) a few weeks back for $425 OTD, was that a decent price for a shooter 66? No box, papers, or tools, but it came with a decent leather holster.

I would say yes...as long as it was mechanically sound. The great thing about the "finish", is that SS is easily renewable. I wouldn't have any qualms paying $425 for a mechanically sound Combat Magnum...they don't make 'em anymore, ya know

I just bought a model 66-7 from a private party for $450 with the box. No holster. I think I got a good deal which means you did too!

I payed a little over $500 for a 66-7 that was a prison guard/security firm trade in. Gun is in very good condition and shoots like a dream, but I'm pretty sure I paid too much. It was an impulse buy.
