In the shot show thread mention was made of the engineering change in the 66-6 that eliminated the cracked forcing cone issue. What engineering change was that????? Didn't want to hijack the shot show thread so I thought I would ask here.

Cajun, I'd bet it is indeed the two piece barrel like my 67-6 is equipped with. The forcing cone end is fully round on these, not flattened like the older guns. I'm very curious to see a production 66-6 to see if that is indeed the case. FWIW, my 67-6 is the most accurate .38 Special under six inches I've ever shot.

Me too. :)

-6 just added the lock, that I am aware of. Same barrel as the -5s.
The 66-7 went to the two piece barrel.
