My 66-8 stock rear sight has a narrow notch and no white outline...no light on either side of the front sight is visible. Not a good setup for aging eyes. So I borrowed the .160 rear sight assembly from my 686 to determine how far off the taller sight would be. With the elevation screw fully clockwise and a Just above six o'clock hold sight picture, I'm getting bullseye's at 10 yards. The wider notch and white outline sure make the 66 easier to line up. Next range trip ill try this setup at 20 yards to see if will still be on target. Any ideas on what results I can expect at 20 yards?
