Got a deal on a nice model 669. It only came with one mag so I bought 3 more on line. I like the weight and it shoot really well. First time to the range I must have put 300 rounds thru it. I had to laugh my brother brought his 9 mm Glock along and he said he likes the 669 better. So now I have a really good 9 that I didnt have to spend a fortune on. Used is fine with me if I can save money! Now I need a nice all metal 45 auto. Im going to try and stay with a smith if I can.

They are nice, I bought one new right after the third gens came out, and dealers were discounting them heavily just to clear them out, I still have it, and inside the box is the target I shot right after I bought it. I was fortunate enough to find a like new 469 recently, original owner had it and kept it as a nightstand gun, I haven't shot it yet, but i'm quite sure it's every bit as good a shooter as my 669....(just took a peek in that 669 box, I paid $325 out the door in Feb. 1989)
