I just traded into a 681-3 import. Sources say Canada or Australia may be the origin, but I’m guessing Canada. It’s a shooter and I anticipate many happy years of service.

Just to show how (un)observant I am, I just noticed that the model number is on the left side of the barrel. Wonder why.

I can’t tell...is the model number in the same font as the rest of the stamped writing?

The model number is under the crane in normal location.

Font on the barrel is about the same as the importer (CAI) mark. I guess someone had some punches and extra time on his hands.
