686-3 Hunter???

Just snagged this 686-3 Competitor and am wondering if anyone has any info on it.

I've read and researched the discussions and have gathered its a Lew Horton distribution Competitor....possibly a Hunter?

I've seen ones with dual porting but I've never seen one with quad magna porting.

I had an early Competitor but it had no porting, never seen any (they are scarce) with porting as well.

I wonder why someone would port such a heavy barrel, and in your pic it shows two different styles of porting, one Magnaport and the other similar to porting that the PC did. Interesting........

Just found this "Hunter" flyer in my library of Flyers/Catalogs.......

Looks like they did Magna Port the Hunter, but I've never seen one in the wild (and this one has a non-fluted cylinder)..

I've seen em with porting just never the dual....wondering if it was a special order or something.
