I came to this thread looking for information on a Model 586 with a 8 3/8" barrel, bit now I may have to hold out for a stainless one---these things are gorgeous!!!
I have a 586 local in a big chain pawn shop, but not sure if I can justify the $675 price tag right now.

In today's world, the 686 is a very nice revolver but with the advent of the .454 Casull let alone the .460 and 500 Mags, it is not a "hand cannon". Don
