Just found this 686-4 at a LGS. It is in nice condition and has a perfect set of Morado (Pau Ferro) target grips on it. There is no box. I'm just not up on these newer guns but the price of $675.00 especially with the Morado grips seemed very reasonable. I only noticed one small scuff above the cylinder on the left side. I have no need for this gun otherwise would have grabbed it but don't want to pass up a deal. They only deal face to face so I can't even offer it up to the members. They also had several new 686's which I have read is unusual and can't offer those up either.

Can you give me some insight into prices etc. on this 686-4? Thanks.

That's a no-brainer purchase at a price like that! Good to know there are still deals out there.

Seems far more than reasonable to me! If I did not have a 6" 686 I would be all over that one! Saw a similar 6" 686-4 on gunbroker earlier this month go for $962. Did have a box but still with $40 shipping and tax well over a grand.

I had a 6" 686 back in the day and let it go. At that price I think I'd be looking to buy that one. The little ugly spot on LH side of the top strap by the forcing cone may be fixable if only surface scuffed.

Vtgw938, I'm really hoping you buy that gun! I like to live my life through other people's good fortunes! I met Big Ben and several other Steelers from that Superbowl era (VS Seattle) at a fundraiser, several Pirates, some hockey guy named Mario & some of his men, so we're all like best buds now!!! (They must've lost my number or something!) Yeah, I think that is a number we can work with! I feel better about me already!
Nice gun. If you have $700 extra laying around, you know what you want!

That, my friend, is a steal! 686-4's in reasonable condition are currently going for $1100-1200 around here when they come up for sale. I'd take it in a heart beat even though I've got a 4" -4. Let us know what you decide. Good luck!

One listed in the classifieds here at $950 just got an "I'll Take It". I don't know if it got the whole $950 or not.

You MUST buy that gun. It is your duty as an American.

Even if you don't want it, you can get it for trades or just to replace another sixer with an inferior trigger or something.

Right now I'm not planning on buying the 686-4. I just can't buy a gun just because it is a good deal and I wouldn't likely be able to trade it or sell it locally. Would be willing to pass the opportunity along to a NH resident or someone willing to travel to Grafton County, NH. Dealer will not sell over the phone, I assume he would send to a FFL if purchase done in person but I do not know that for sure. PM me if interested.

I have never been burdened by a need to have something, if it's a good price I tend to err on the side of caution and buy it. I can justify buying it because it's different from something I already have, sometimes just the serial number. I have also justified a purchase of duplicates because I have two children and it would be unfair to leave something to one and not the other.

Why is it priced so cheap?
Does it have issues not noticeable in the photo.
Barrel,Bore,Timing,Lock up....

The price would have me looking really close but I don't need it or want it.
