I can buy a new one for $675......I just checked GunGenie, they have them in stock. If I hated the lock(which in reality doesn't bother me at all) I'd remove it myself for nuttin'. Then I'd shoot the 'ell outta it cause of the lifetime warranty that comes with being the original owner. That may not always be true with a second hand gun even if it is NIB. S&W's lifetime warranty reads for the life of the original owner.....not the life of the gun. If you're pickin' it up as a collector, it's so over priced, you will wait a long time to realize any profit, unless you really need that specific model for your collection.
