686-6+ Stocking Dealer Exclusive

I have always appreciated the 686 and I found this one available for a decent price recently. Yes, it is a -6 with the hideous MIM parts, key lock and frame mounted firing pin, but I've had other guns with those and they haven't been a problem for me so far. Other than the 686 Mountain Gun, this is the only variant of the 686 I know of with the half lug barrel. This gun was made as a Stocking Dealers Exclusive around 2004. I don't know how many were made.. I'm really liking this configuration a lot. Feels great in the hand.

Looking at the S&W flyer, I find it funny that they spelled "Ahrends" grips incorrectly.:confused:

I understand completely.. sadly the one I had at one time was missing the grips...
