Hi folks, I've been on here for awhile but never posted. Anyway, I just acquired a SW 686-4 with a 6"barrel in excellent condition. I love it is pre lock / Mim too. I looked it over pretty well
Lockup is nice. Cylinder gap is about 005/006. Who ever owned it did not shoot it much and took nice care of it. I already have a recent production 586 (classic). It's a decent gun but has the lock hole. It also has a large Cylinder gap of .010. Consequently, velocity is lower than it should be. I found out about this issue via chronograph. I can't wait to try out the new one though.
