686-6 VALUE

How much is a 6 shot 686-6 w 2 1/2" bbl going for these days? A friend of mine has one he wants me to sell for him and I have no clue. He has the original case, etc. Revolver has been fired, and has the lock. Hogue grips which I believe are correct. I really don't want to get in the middle of it, but he knows I like S&W's so he is looking to me for help.

Condition??

What is the condition of the gun? Like new, hopefully.

Gun is used, but not abused. He figures maybe 400 rds thru it. Range use only, it was never carried.

I'd put the retail value between 400 and 600 dollars, 400 if he wants a quick sale and 600 as the upper limit he'll have to wait for a buyer to bite on.
