Wondering what a 686 8 3/8 SS pre lock no dash may be worth to the average buyer.Times are getting tough, hate to even have to think of selling. Not a perfect piece but nice, has had a trigger job and locks up tight.Serial no. AHU5380

Thanks in advance, just need some advice.

Well the longer the barrel generally the less it's worth unless you live where a lot of hunters want them. I would say $450 to 500 tops.

8 3/8s

I sold this one a couple of years ago for $400.00

I agree with fyi and Revolver King. Sure....there are some shooters out here that would love to have that piece (good looking gun), but most would rather have one they can carry without a sling or forearm grip. Somebody out here "really" wants it....you just have to find them.

There's not a whole lot of those older 686's with 8-3/8" barrels available.

Most folks opt for 4 or 6 inch barrels, so My thoughts are, hang on to it until a buyer who really wants it, comes along.

That buyer will cherish it, and pay You a dignified price, that is, if someone is selling such a gun.
