I picked up my 686 last night and noticed this c3 stamp over an s. Does anyone know the significance of it? Also the numbers on the cylinder support do not match the sn, does this mean it was replaced?

Hello,
Not to worry.
They are assembly numbers and inspector stamps and have nothing to do with the actual serial#.
These numbers/letters mean nothing once the firearm leaves the factory.
Sit down, take a deep breath, and breathe....

Perfect, thanks for the help. I love my 586 so much I wanted him to have a good 686 brother.
