Hey everyone,
My wife was fantastic enough to hook me up with this beauty for Father's Day. I'm looking for some advice on a good quality holster for conceal carry (IWB, OWB or shoulder). Please let me know what you've had experience with...thanks

Be sure and look into ETW holsters. Got an iwb for my J frame and could not be more pleased. They were really good to deal with and delivered ahead of time. Beautiful gun by the way.

Galco

I have that same gun. It is my EDC. I recommend a Galco gun belt and their Combat Master OWB holster. Hides under a one size larger polo shirt. This combination will run you $160, but you will not be disappointed. Don't try to carry without a good gun belt.

I currently run a Boxer Tactical 1 3/4" Belt with Cobra buckle...belt is definitley not an issue. I'll check out the holster. Thanks.

This gun is amazing. Took it out last night and drilled these 7 shots into this 3" circle from about 8 yards out...it is very smooth!

My husband got me the same 686 last Christmas. He also got me the Galco SB2 belt and Combat Master OWB for it. That combination makes me practically forget i am carrying it. As sweet as those grips look and feel, I had him put on the Hogue Bantam grips. They help me handle long range sessions with magnum loads. The Hogue grips are also shorter and less likely to print. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. That's one of the holsters I'm looking into for OWB. I'll have to see how well the pistol conceals before I decide to change out these beautiful grips. I'm 280lbs so it may not be an issue for me.

First let me congratulate you on making a spectacular choice for a wife! Now to the holster, this is the Enhanced Pancake from Lobo that I bought for my early 686 2.5". Great holster, no regrets, gets frequent carry use. If I remember it took about 5 weeks from the day I ordered til it showed up (Ray usually quotes 7) but worth it. The only pistol I carry IWB is my 1911 and that's in a Sparks VMII. Even my Shield rides in an OWB, but that's just me.
