Is the 686 plus 7 shot physically any bigger, wider, than the 686 6 shot?

Same physical dimensions. The + is actually a little lighter because there is less material in the cylinder. When you load them both up they weigh about the same because of the extra round in the +.

Same as same including the loaded weight. More metal, less bullet vs. extra bullet, less metal.
