Hey All,
Took my new (to me) 686-6 to the range today.
I wasn't looking for tight groups, but just function check and putting some rounds on target.

Ammo used was 125gr FMJ, 158gr FMJ and 135gr Speer Gold Dot short barrel defensive ammo. (and two cylinders of both 38+P JHP and 110gr 38 Federal defensive loads)

Flawless function and a smooth DA trigger pull.
I did shoot 3 or 4 rounds SA, but I try to only shoot DA, as this is a defensive weapon.

From 12 yds, amazingly tight groups, even when emptying all 6 rounds in rapid fire!

I have never owned a 686, and was pleasantly surprised by how easily the full lug barrel handles 357 rounds!

Yes, it is heavy to carry....but if needed, this defensive revolver will do its job.

The Garrett Industries Silent Thunder holster makes carry easy and concealable, and was easy to draw from and reholster while at the range.

Boring and reliable, just as a revolver should be!

Did you really just say that! OMG

Nice looking snub. I've been looking for one to go along with my 6" 686. Did you put the plug in or did it already have it ?

I'm the second owner, and the first guy put the plug in.
This thing was about 99% condition.....don't know why he bothered to plug it and then get rid of it?

I'm loving this beast!

What I mean is....lately I have needed to finesse or tinker with/break in semi autos.....or had magazine problems, or finding the "right" ammo, etc....

Nice to be "bored" with reliability!
