6906 Ambi-Safety

Not being a fan of the ambidextrous safety, is it possible to remove said safety on the 6906 without messing anything up?

Do you just want to remove the ambi lever? It's only held on by a spring loaded plunger.

Or, replace the body with a single sided one? That should be pretty much drop in, if you can find one.

Hadn't thought about a drop in. Do you think they are available?
I suppose I should research it a little more.
