This is weird. I'm going to let my gunsmith tinker with it but I figured it was ripe for a discussion here.

I recently acquired a re-import 6906. It's in very fine shape. But I ran into a strange problem. When I tried to load the magazine I could NOT get the 4th round into it - whatever I tried failed

Any ideas about this weirdness?

Take the magazine apart and see what is inside that is blocking the spring and/or follower.

The leg of the follower is getting hung up on the mag catch opening . Take your mag apart and sand the bottom of the follower leg that passes the opening on a angle so it don't get caught on the way down.

Can I threadjack just a bit?

I have 2 10 round mags for my 5943 TSW. I took them apart and see the spring is different than a 15 round mag, but I also noticed the indentations on the side of the mag that look to stop the follower from depressing farther than halfway down the mag. Any way to covert the 10s to 15s? I can change the springs easy enough, but I'm not sure I can do anything to the mag body.

It's metal, it can be reformed. And good metal worker can do the job. But it may be cheaper to buy new mags.

Yeah, not worth it. I already have a few of the used 15 rounders on order, maybe I'll try to trade these. Thanks.

Hmmmmm......maybe I'll buy another magazine on eBay - not because my magazine is broken - because it's fixed - but because I only have one!!!!
