The Safariland 586 does well with the later, round trigger guard 69xx pistols, but the earlier pistols with the long, hooked guard ride 1/4 inch higher in the holster, which slightly reduces retention and stability.
Holsters for the 5906 also work, same rule for trigger guards does apply. The Safariland 586 is designed for the Glock 17, but short-round trigger guard 69xx, 59xx, and 40xx pistols fit just fine. That looks like it may work. Funny their "holster finder" doesn't list it for the 6906. Sure was easier finding good fitting holsters for revolvers.
I happen to have two Blackhawk Sherpa #10 holsters which includes both the paddle and belt loop sitting around my man cave. I bought them for my 5904 but choose to go with a leather holster. They shipped me two packages of #10s and a double ammo pouch.
I dragged by 6906 out of the gun safe and it fits like a glove in the #10.
