I have a SW6906 Serial #VCU47xx and I would like to know what the OEM recoil spring rating is. It cycles flawlessly but I would like to buy a replacement. Which rating would be best? Thank you in advance.

The factory original (S&W p/n 100950000) is always your best choice.
Order it from S&W or source it from an aftermarket vendor.

15 pounds sounds correct, given the slide is 1/2 shorter and a little lighter than that of the full size 9mm metal receiver pistols. I just use S&W factory springs, which can be found at several online retailers.
