I have never actually had a close look at or held a Shield. How much easier is a Shield to conceal compared to a 6906?

The Shield is quite a bit smaller, but not as small as a PM9. I don't know how I could answer the question about concealing it except to say that I think if either gun is worn in a good belt holster the Shield will be less noticeable when covered with a thin shirt. If covering with a vest or jacket, I don't think it would make much difference on most guys. I don't regard either gun as suitable for pocket carry, but the Shield would come a lot closer than the 6906, IMHO.

the shield is thinner than the reg. m&p9. it was made to be an easily concealed carry firearm. it is a fun shooter. just shot it last time i went to the range and it is a fun gun. recoil is not much more than the reg. m&p9.

My Shield doesn't conceal as well as I thought it would, especially with the extended mag. IWB is about the only way to go. On the plus side, it's a lot lighter than my Compact 9 which makes a big difference during the summer. Someone above said it isn't a pocket gun. I disagree. The Shield fits into the pocket holster for my snubby, slides right into a cargo pocket.
