My wifey took the below photos of Tom Turkey.

Yesterday at sunset, she saw him sitting in a tree. This is the same tree that the bald eagles perch in when they are around.

This morning she saw Tom Turkey on the ground on our neighbor's lot to the west of us. The neighbor recently erected a metal "fence" by the retaining wall. It is a 9' drop to the next tier below. With the "bars", I didn't want you to think that this turkey was in a zoo or on a turkey farm...he's just in our neighbor's back yard. Wifey said that he had some hens with him yesterday.

We are about 60' above the Missouri River. Beautiful colors on the turkey. She zoomed in on him for the next four photos. I told the wifey that she really scored on some pretty photos this morning! Enjoy!

Very cool, Ron!

Turkeys were re-introduced into north central Indiana several years ago and have made quite a comeback. Beautiful birds!

Looking at those pictures reminds me of why I don't hunt anymore. I know a lot of people feel differently, and that's fine by me. To each his own.

Now if we had wild pheasant in NC, it wold have to be a different story!

Ditto, my friend. BUT! Turkeys are supposed to be direct descendants of RAPTORS!!!
