Should I try to find a larger hand and fix it myself or send it back to factory? I have never filed on the ratchets of an 8 shot before. Is the technique the same as on the 6 shot?

If the carry up is noticably worse on only one cylinder position, the ratchet is the problem. A hand wide enough to make that one carry up would bind on the others.

Can you see anything unusual on the problem ratchet?

I haven't fitted an ejector for an 8, but it should be similar to the 6 and 7 which I have fitted.

Who will pay if somethings goes wrong for you?

Good point. I have worked on ratchets on several six shot guns, but really it is not what I like to do. Never had an 8 shot that had a timing problem.

Thanks for the thought.
