845 models

Is the first or the second series of the S&W 845 considered more desirable? The second series is much smaller in number than the first and is marked Model of 1998. Thanks, Makilly

Prices seem to run about the same for either gun. There were no more than 500 units of either gun so both are scarce. I don't see one being anymore desirable than the other myself.

ANY 845 ! I HAVE ONE AND IT SHOOTS GREAT. WAY BETTER THAN THE 945 I HAD ( AND SOLD BECAUSE OF THAT). HERE IT IS WITH IT'S 2 BROTHERS. JP

They both bring around the same pricing as was stated
The 1998 is rarer, but some don't like the slide markings, so it evens out
They are equal in fit and finish from my examples
