ok, i know this is a S&W forum, but i have an issue with the trigger on a beretta.

i've had a posting on the beretta board for going on three days with not one response.

so, here goes..

just picked up a used 84BB on wed. that i bought on GB. very good shape cosmetically & came with one 13rd mag.

however, i don't like the trigger in either DA or SA.
DA is a very long pull & much heavier than i like, & SA feels like a lot of trigger travel, & not as smooth as my Smiths or even my bersas.

am i imaging all this or has anyone here done any trigger work on their 84s?

Never had work done on one, but I've owned a few DA/SA Berettas (92 and 84's). All had overly long DA pulls; nature of the beast I think. SA is about the same as any similar. None breaks "like a glass rod." Joe

I've never noticed anything unusally worse about mine than any other SA/DA auto. I do like the way it feels in my hand though, one of my favorites for comfort.

i must admit the triggers on alll my bersas are better than this beretta.

however, i have no idea how much this has been shot, it appears to not been shot very much.
the slide is so tight i almost can't rack it....

i'm meeting with 3-4 other bersas guys at the NRA show on sunday & i plan to get their opinions.

I bought mine used too so I can't tell you if it was ever worked on before I bought it. Have you tried to disassemble it or at least field strip and do a good cleaning? Like I said, mine is pretty much the same as any other similar auto, yours' sounds like there is something wrong somewhere.
